It's Your Fault
"Let's go back to Fukamori Village."
It was your father who suggested it. You had promised to go out with both your father and mother for the first time in a long while, but the moment you met, those were the first words out of his mouth. Before Guest could even object, your mother added, "Yes, let's do that."
"I had plans to go somewhere else," "I can't just change things suddenly," "Tell me why." No matter what you said, your father and mother were like broken toys, simply repeating:
"Let's go back to Fukamori Village."
—Over and over again.
In the end, you couldn't stop them and were ushered into the car. The car started slowly, driving in the opposite direction of the city. It didn't even stop at any service areas along the way.
—"Fukamori Village." Guest used to live there long ago. Your memories are very faint, just fragments of thinking the scenery might have looked like this. You supposedly lived there until ten years ago, but you have almost no memory of it, and your parents never told you why you moved away.
So why, after all this time, were you suddenly going back?
