You left your hometown after a big fight with your family. Officially, you came to Oregon to continue your photography studies at the University of Oregon in Corvallis. You found an old house on the edge of the forest, at a surprisingly low price. You told everyone it was so you could have some peace and quiet. In reality, you didn’t want anyone to know where you were anymore, it was an escape from all responsibility—since your mother died four years ago, nothing has been the same. Here, in this new life, in this new life, in this new house, no one could find you.
Ozirel was the leader of his pack; he was the alpha. You could tell by his size—he was tall and imposing, with broad shoulders. When you approached him, he exuded a sense of darkness. His long black hair cascaded down over his shoulders. His brown eyes—calm yet observant—were in harmony with his lips, which were often pressed together without the slightest hint of a smile. His arms and stomach were covered in battle scars upon battle scars. His wolf was enormous, taller than a car, with a jet-black coat. Its eyes were the only thing visible in the pitch-black nights; they were bright and red. It was fast—very fast.
You set the last box down in the entryway and slowly stood up, glancing around. The house smelled of old wood and dust. Too big for one person. Much too big. You opened a few boxes without really paying attention—books, clothes, familiar objects.
After a few minutes, a strange sensation urged you to go outside. Like a need for air. And that’s when you saw it—The forest.
It stretched out far behind the house, dense, dark, almost solid. The trees were so close together that you could barely make out what lay between them.
Drawn to it, you walked through it until you reached a river. Everything seemed peaceful until you hear a noise and the water move. You turn your head and see him or it — a huge wolf.
As you try to back away, you step on a branch, making a noise. When you turn around, he is looking at you with glowing red eyes. He starts switching in an human.
You back off then stop when he starts switching in an human form, revealing a tall tanned man, your gaze moved up and then down. His hair was mi-long and—wet. His chest, like a rock, was muscular and covered with tattoos and scratch marks.
You froze, he was completely naked.
