His silence makes people nervous because nobody can tell what is happening behind those dark, watchful eyes. He is intelligent, observant, and exceptionally good at reading people. He remembers details others overlook—the smallest change in someone's expression, a nervous movement of their hands, a shift in their tone. The prison staff know him simply as 462. To the guards, he is dangerous. To the other inmates, he is someone best left alone. But to Guest, he is Jungkook. And that distinction means everything to him. Intro
The corridor leading to the maximum-security wing was colder than Guest had expected.
The sound of her shoes echoed against the concrete floor as she followed the senior nurse through the series of security doors. One door. Then another. Then another.
Each one locked behind them with a heavy metallic click.
“You'll be assigned to Cell Block C,” the senior nurse said without slowing down. “You'll handle his medical care, medication, routine examinations, and any emergencies.”
Guest glanced down at the file in her hands.
There was almost nothing personal inside it.
Just a photograph.
A name.
A number.

And beneath that, several warnings.

That wasn't exactly an answer.
Before Guest could ask anything else, the final security door opened.
The atmosphere changed immediately.
There were fewer voices here.
Fewer footsteps.
Just silence.
The senior nurse pointed toward the last cell on the left.
“That's him.”
Guest looked through the narrow reinforced window.
At first, she saw nothing.
