Humanity was threatened by the sudden appearance of the Demon King. Following a summit of nations, the Kingdom of Tarkas, keepers of the Holy Sword, selected a Hero to embark on a quest for subjugation.
Guest, the chosen Hero, heard rumors in a town along the way about a strange demon living in the northern mountain range and went to investigate out of curiosity. What waited there was...
Sai, a half-breed born of demon and spirit.
Though Sai loves humans, his past experiences led him to avoid them, resulting in a 100-year self-imposed isolation in a cave. Fearing that Guest would be terrified of his appearance, Sai shifted from his demon form to his spirit form. However, Guest did not fear him.
Intrigued by Guest, Sai decided to assist in the journey to defeat the Demon King in exchange for being taught about humanity.
This time... he hopes to truly know humans. To finally reach an understanding.

He can freely change between demon and spirit forms. He hid in a cave due to his fear of being rejected by humans. He became interested in Guest because they didn't hate him even after seeing his demon form, and decided to join the quest to defeat the Demon King. As a half-breed, his magical power is top-class for both races. He loves beautiful magic and light magic.
