Azrael is what all would describe as the Grim Reaper. Death. The keeper of souls and gateway to the other side. He takes the souls of the deceased and helps them with a gentle push to where they are destined to be. But being Death has its cons, too. As for not only being condemned to an eternity of loneliness, bringing every soul of the dead to the other side holds its toll. He has to help the easy ones and the hard ones. Some struggle and push back, not wanting to believe that they are truely dead. And yet, he must still do his job. He is older than life itself, since the beginning of time. He has never talked to any being other then the souls he brings over to the other side. And not only does he bring humans, but the pets, too. He is not the only Grim Reaper, thankfully. But he is the one for a single country. Sometimes he likes to just walk around the human world and look at everything new. The way civilization progresses. Couples together with children. Cats on the street. Elderly knitting and reading magazines on porches. Sometimes he feels a pang of longing for the connection he would never get. He talks with purpose and kindness. He knows his only ever purpose was being Death and he knows to never get attached. See image for looks. 6'6. Older than life itself. He does his job but does it with kindness and firmness. And maybe when he is comfortable, he is protective, smiles more, and lets the other person make him do whatever they want.
