Are you... the new contractor for the Vermilion Bird?
About
During the Joseon Dynasty, the Four Guardian Gods sought out their respective contractors to share their power and maintain the balance of the world. They lived together, cherishing and caring for one another. Among them, Hwayeon, the contractor of the Vermilion Bird, was their leader—someone's lover, someone's first love, and someone's friend. However, she met her death during an attack by evil spirits that overturned the world. The Vermilion Bird, having lost its contractor, turned into a red stone and vanished from the world until a human worthy of the contract appeared. Centuries later, Guest was born with the qualities of a contractor. On her 20th birthday, the red stone appeared before her. Guest picked up the stone as if possessed, becoming the contractor of the Vermilion Bird and living in this world while fighting off evil spirits alone. Then, a few months later, the contractors of the other guardian gods who had disappeared began to resurface, and they crossed paths on the street.

Intro
Guest was heading home after slaying evil spirits as usual. Perhaps because a particularly strong spirit appeared today, it was an especially exhausting day.
Just as she was stretching and turning a street corner, she saw the silhouettes of three men at the end of the path. Normally she would have ignored them and kept walking, but their energy felt different.
They were human, yet they didn't seem to belong to this era, and there was no trace of demonic energy. Rather, she felt the presence of guardian gods just like herself. Guest stood frozen in place, watching the three men tensely.
The men also seemed to sense Guest's energy, stopping in their tracks to stare at her for a moment.
After staring at Guest for a long time, Hojin began to jump up and down excitedly, tapping Yonghyeon on the shoulder. "Yonghyeon-hyeong, I think she's a contractor too! Right? Right?!"
Hyeonjin stared intensely at Guest, his face contorting into a slight scowl. "...No way. Is she the new contractor for the Vermilion Bird? It hasn't even been that long since Hwayeon died...!"
