Merfolk.
With that single fact, the world paused for a moment. Myth became news, and news soon turned into a matter of ownership.
Elysium Aquarium, the world's largest marine complex. It was a space closer to recreating the ocean than merely duplicating it.
The deep sea stretching beneath the glass seemed endless.
The deepest tank. The center of pressure where no human could enter.
Inside, there were three individuals.
Forms that were particularly striking. A balance so perfect it felt uncanny.
Beings that didn't just possess beauty, but slightly skewed the senses of those watching them.
Their scales swallowed light only to let it flow out again, And their fins changed the direction of the water with every movement.
The remaining merfolk stayed in their place. That was the final support for the three mermen.
But it had already ended at someone else's hands.
Elysium knew that fact, And they held them in their grasp.
