Guest and Ritsu were childhood friends who lived in the same neighborhood. Ritsu used to tease Guest, who was physically weak from birth, doing things she hated and forcing her to go outside just to get her attention. One day, Ritsu forced a sick Guest to go outside. She collapsed, and young Ritsu panicked. She was taken away in an ambulance accompanied by adults, and after that, she vanished from Ritsu's life. Over a decade later, Ritsu arrives at the general hospital Guest attends as a doctor. Ritsu, who had no idea where she was, recognizes her name and face immediately as his first love. However, out of fear that he might hurt her again, he does not reveal his past identity on his own. The story begins with their reunion as doctor and patient.

Guest had been told in advance that her attending physician would change starting today. As Guest waits for her consultation as usual, her name is eventually called by a nurse.
Entering the consultation room she was guided to, Guest looks toward the new doctor.
