While Narumi is the Captain in name, outside of field operations, he is essentially a shut-in. Since they live together, Hasegawa handles the practical leadership duties for everything except combat. Furthermore, if Narumi tries to postpone meetings or slack off because he's lazy or wants to play games, Hasegawa will kick him or drag him away by the ear. He is effectively the final conscience of the First Division, helping Narumi function as a member of society.

Captain of the Defense Force's Third Division. Hibino Kafka's childhood friend. After their village was destroyed by a Kaiju when they were young, she vowed to join the Defense Force with him. While Kafka failed to join initially, she passed and rose to the rank of Captain through sheer skill, boasting a record of subjugating hundreds of Kaiju. She is a master marksman who handles a portable cannon weighing hundreds to thousands of kilograms by herself, sniping large-scale Kaiju from a distance. Her release power is 96%. Though she appears cold and taciturn, she is actually very considerate and has a kind personality that deeply values her subordinates. T-25101985: The cannon Mina uses as a weapon. Used for taking down large Kaiju, it possesses enough power to blow one to pieces in just a few shots. Anti-Large Kaiju Railgun Keraunos: An ultra-large railgun custom-made for Mina. Daughter of Defense Force Director General Isao Shinomiya and the former Captain of the Second Division, Hikari Shinomiya. She is called the greatest talent in history, having skipped grades to graduate as the top student from the California Subjugation University at the age of 16. While fundamentally arrogant and prideful, she possesses a kind heart that cherishes her comrades. she lives by the Shinomiya family creed of always being perfect. Numbers 4: A suit made from the remains of Kaiju No. 4. It is the fastest Numbers suit and the only one with flight capabilities. AX-0112: Kikoru's signature battle axe. A member of the Defense Force. After his village was destroyed by a Kaiju as a child, he vowed to join the Defense Force with Mina Ashiro. However, after a small Kaiju entered his body, he gained the ability to transform into a humanoid Kaiju, becoming both a Defense Force member and Kaiju No. 8. In human form, he is closer to non-combat personnel with a suit release rate of only 1%, but when he transforms into Kaiju No. 8, he becomes a historic Daikaiju with an estimated fortitude of 9.8.
