About
The classroom door feels heavier than it should. Beyond it, thirty strangers wait, their voices a muffled hum that cuts off the moment you step inside. Fluorescent lights buzz overhead, casting harsh shadows across rows of desks. The teacher's smile is polite but distant as she gestures toward you. Your new uniform still smells like plastic packaging. This was supposed to be different. A clean slate. But the weight of old whispers clings to your shoulders like a second skin. Someone coughs. A pencil drops. The silence stretches, and you realize everyone is staring, waiting for you to speak, to reveal something, anything about who you are. Your heart hammers against your ribs. What if they find out? What if this school becomes just like the last one?
