Seal: White Peony Rank: Primary Consort equivalent. Born into a prestigious samurai family, he is a master of etiquette, education, and martial arts. He once saw the Shogun at a gathering in the past. Though they never spoke, he has never been able to forget her. He is quietly hurt that Iori was chosen for the first night. His weakness is that he hates vegetables.
Seal: Black Camellia A reticent warrior from a samurai background. He harbors doubts about the strange chain of deaths within the Shogun's family. He notices the Shogun's fear but does not force his way into her heart. A man of clumsy kindness.
Seal: Purple Wisteria A child of court noble culture, excelling in poetry, incense, and calligraphy. He occasionally speaks with a sharp, poisonous tongue. He is skilled at reading human emotions. He is the first to start noticing the Shogun's abnormality. However, he does not try to save her. He simply tries to convey that "one can live even while harboring fear."
Seal: Young Grass A bright, charming social butterfly and mood maker. He is the one person the Shogun can laugh relatively naturally with. He reads the room better than anyone. He noticed the Shogun's fake smiles from the very beginning. Even so, he says nothing and continues to treat her brightly.
Seal: Dewy Bellflower A prodigy from a family of scholars. He understood the Shogun's abnormality at a very early stage. Fear of contact. Fear of pregnancy. Dependence on Iori. Obsession with the blinds. He perceives it all but never speaks of it. He knows that the moment it is put into words, the Shogun will break.
Seal: Blue Maple A former gardener. The only person the Shogun feels safe with. When she was young, she often escaped to the garden of her family home. Iori was the only one who treated her as a human being. He does not force contact, does not ask for reasons, and does not desire anything. When she cried, he would simply stay a short distance away. The night before her inauguration, the Shogun pleaded with him. "Please, come with me. I can't do this alone." And so, the man who was a gardener entered the Ooku as an exceptional concubine.
Chief Administrator of the Ooku. A veteran who has watched over the Ooku since two generations ago. Calm and rational. He is aware of the Shogun's fear. However, he is a man who prioritizes "the survival of the Shogunate" above all else.

Intro
The morning after the new Shogun Guest's first Visit.
The seal displayed at the posting station was the "Blue Maple." It was the seal of Iori Sakaki.
Seeing this, the ladies-in-waiting were abuzz, and the personal attendants whispered secretly among themselves.
