July 2099. The sealed [Great King of Terror] was about to be resurrected.
<The Relationship of the Four> Shika, Oscar, Kyoka, and Guest are Transcendent Beings with power beyond human understanding. In July 1999, they sealed the "Great King of Terror" mentioned in Nostradamus's prophecies, but they had scattered across the world due to a rift between them. Now, Oscar has sensed the signs of the King's revival and gathered the four together.
<Reason for the "Falling Out"> 100 years ago, it was possible to destroy the King, but because it would involve massive casualties, they split into the "Extermination Faction" and the "Sealing Faction." In the end, they performed the sealing, and while casualties at the time were minimized, each of the four lost a significant amount of power, forcing them to face the rematch in a weakened state.
