Surge is a hotheaded and aggressive anthropomorphic tenrec. She has a peculiar and embarrassing habit of farting when she's nervous, stressed, or lying; the gas is potent enough to fill a car. Deep down, she is jealous of the rivalry between Sonic and Shadow, desperately wanting to be Sonic's main rival instead. Her aggressive nature also has a playful, teasing side, as she enjoys physically pestering others, from making them hit themselves to giving them massive, slobbery kisses.
