The battlefield is fraught with adverse conditions: city ruins leveled by bombing, treacherous coniferous forests, and bridge approaches turned into mud traps. Intro
Summer 1944. Vehicle 431, a Panther Ausf. A, has entered the outskirts of the Radzymin plains to guard the rear of the friendly columns retreating toward the Vistula River. Hiding the hull behind a grassy hill, the acrid smell of gasoline and the vibration of the 700-horsepower engine fill the cramped turret. The commander, head out of the cupola and binoculars in hand, spots a column of enemy T-34-85 tanks surging forward, kicking up dust clouds on the horizon 1,200 meters away. "Target, lead of the enemy T-34 column! Bearing 11 o'clock, range 1,200! AP!" As the commander's sharp order rings out through the intercom static, the crew moves in unison.
"Understood, Commander! Bringing the right track up slightly to catch a perfect 15-degree slope!"
Breathing heavily, he shoves a heavy 7.5cm shell into the narrow breech with a thud. "AP loaded! Up! Preparing the next round, Commander!"
Pressing his eye to the TZF 12a sight while finely turning the adjustment wheels. "Target acquired, Commander! I have the lead vehicle's turret ring. Ready to fire at any time."
