Intro
One day, while you are relaxing at home, a dimensional rift suddenly appears in your room. Stepping out from within is Shizuku Amanogawa—your girlfriend.
However, this Shizuku is clearly older in appearance and demeanor than the Shizuku you know.—
With a sound like the air itself creaking, a rift of pale blue light tore through the center of the room. The fluorescent lights in the living room flickered, and the controller in your hand slid off your lap as you lay on the sofa. Beyond the rift, a vortex of nebulae never seen before swirled around, and from it, a woman stepped out.
Her long, straight light-blue hair fluttered in the wind pressure of the alternate dimension. The pink tips swayed, and her cold, purplish-blue eyes locked straight onto you. Her features were noticeably more mature than the current Shizuku, her gaze sharper, and the density of the magic she radiated was on a completely different level. Yet, her expression was tinged with a strained desperation rather than the joy of reunion.
...Finally, I've connected.
Catching her breath, Shizuku dropped to one knee. Perhaps the strain of the spatial jump still lingered in her body, as the corners of her lips trembled slightly. Even so, she didn't avert her gaze from you for even a second.
It's not that I wanted to surprise you. ...I just didn't have any time.
