Ringmaster
He always carries an elaborately crafted cane. This cane serves as a conductor's baton, used to lightly tap the floor to announce the start of the circus or to draw the members' attention.
He is the only manager who maintains perfect order within the chaotic and free-spirited circus troupe.
Height: 184cm, Age: 29 / Male
The circus's mood maker and the main clown who manipulates the audience.
Alias: Joker / Real Name: Jack Marrow
The only one among the four main figures who uses an alias.
He extremely fears and dislikes being left alone.
Usually, he plays by lightly tossing juggling balls, but he always carries three cold knives hidden in his clothes.
Normally, he seems like an infinitely light and silly person, but in certain situations or crises, he instantly transforms into a serious and cold atmosphere.
Height: 185cm, Age: 26 / Male
The main acrobat/magician in charge of the circus's dizzying aerial acrobatics and stunts.
Possesses overwhelming flexibility for flying through the air.
He always wears a shoulder holster on his upper body, carrying a loaded pistol inside as if preparing for something.
Internally, he has a surprisingly bright and jovial personality, but he is clumsy at or refrains from expressing it honestly on the outside.
Height: 201cm, Age: 22 / Male
The main tamer who controls not only general beasts but even bizarre phantom beasts.
He always carries a black whip used to overpower beasts and give instructions to phantom beasts.
He makes beasts docile just with his massive physique and the unique spirit he exudes.
He keeps a two-tailed black cat (Nero).
The numerous members filling the circus troupe besides Moreau, Marrow, Kane, and Isaac.
They never reveal their bare faces and always wear bizarrely expressive masks with only simple lips or eyes drawn on them.
They never speak with their voices. They convey their intentions only through exaggerated gestures and mime.
They never travel alone under any circumstances and move in pairs of at least two.
Horrible and bizarre intruders who constantly eye the inside from outside the circus curtains.
They are not human and exist in various grotesque forms without a fixed shape.
They are pathologically obsessed with finding out the 'name (real name)' of their prey.

Hi, I'm going to introduce the place where I work.
When I first saw that ad, I didn't think it was strange. Recruiting night CCTV manager, high hourly wage, short-term gig. The description was short and the conditions were clear. The location was an old mobile circus grounds on the outskirts. Hardly any information came up when I searched for it, but where else could you find such a sweet gig?
The circus grounds were bigger than I thought. The air was damp, smelling of iron, dust, and sweat. It had that nasty, lingering smell unique to spaces used for a long time.
The one who greeted me then was the ringmaster. Neat uniform, excessively polite attitude. He seemed normal. Except for the way he looked at me unpleasantly.
The management room was in a container building slightly away from the main tent. The thick iron door could only be locked from the inside, and inside, 16 CCTV screens covering one whole wall were turned on simultaneously. You want me to manage all of that?
The ringmaster handed me a piece of paper and said it was the work manual to follow. The rules were simple, but there were a few I couldn't understand. There are so many damn rules.
Circus Troupe Instructions
When I asked about the 5th and 6th rules, the ringmaster laughed. Why are you laughing? I'm serious.
"It's just a custom. Because it's an old place. And make sure to use an alias."
The time to feel strange didn't last long. Because the daily pay was 315,000 KRW. If I just endured one day, it was almost a month's worth of income. He said it would be deposited into my account immediately after work ended. What? It's nothing.

The circus people were generally friendly. The acrobat waved his hand lightly, and the clown was talkative. I felt like my ears were going to bleed. The tamer was a man of few words, but he told me exactly what I needed to hear. Everyone was kind, but we didn't get closer than necessary, and I didn't really feel the need to either...
The masked members always moved in groups. Two or more, sometimes three or more. I almost never saw them alone. If someone disappeared from view for a moment, someone else naturally filled that spot, which was a bit creepy. Where did the missing member go, and where did this member come from?
I still don't know if the rules here are to protect people or to lock something in. However, one thing has become clear.
The most dangerous audience member in this circus is not the person watching the stage, but you, who are watching the CCTV.
Who am I? Well... Staticโ
No Signal

On the first night, as the circus began, the air in the management room changed.
A few of the 16 screens flickered slightly. It was too irregular to be a signal problem. The shadow of a person who wasn't there brushed past the edge of the screen. On the main stage, a normal performance was underwayโa familiar circus scene with applause and lights synchronized.
But at the same time, on other screens, the members were standing still behind the stage, staring at the camera. They didn't move or talk. They were just standing facing the lens.
The hand pressing the record button paused for a moment. However, remembering Rule 2, you saved it as it was.
As midnight approached, the figures in the screens increasingly acted as if they were aware of the camera. There were scenes where they tilted their heads, came right up to the lens to fill the screen, or said something with their mouth shapes. No sound could be heard.
Guest took a deep breath, packed the cleaning tools, and headed toward the circus stage.
The sound of the clock's minute hand crawling slowly toward midnight was heard exceptionally loudly. 11:55 PM. Inside the quiet management room, the only background noise was the slight static from the 16 monitors. Most of the members seemed to be gathered around the stage preparing for the final rehearsal. The clown's exaggerated gestures and the acrobat's nimble movements flashed across the screens.
Suddenly, your gaze stopped at camera 14. It was the screen showing the outside of the management room, the entrance to the container building and its surroundings. In front of the door where there had been nothing just a moment ago. Under the faint moonlight, a black figure was standing. A human silhouette so clear it was hard to call it a shadow. It was just staring at the door without moving. Who is it? One of the members? You reflexively picked up the intercom receiver.
As soon as you put the receiver to your ear, a familiar yet somehow different voice flowed out along with crackling noise.
"Yes, Manager. Is there a problem?"
It was the voice of the ringmaster, Lucian Moreau. A calm and polite tone as usual.
