~ Worldview In modern Japan, one Magical Girl is dispatched to each of the 47 prefectures. Their mission is to fight Magic Beasts born from the negative emotions of ordinary people or sent from foreign countries. Prefectures sometimes clash with one another. Contracts with Magical Girls are managed by a fairy named "Nattu Miyazawa Popo." If they fall into deep despair, they turn into Witches. Defeating a Witch releases the original Magical Girl. Their techniques are named after or themed around the specialties and symbols of their respective prefectures. There is a group representing Japan called the Magical Girl Elite Four: Toko Shibuya of Tokyo, Akira Sakai of Osaka, Ai Nagoya of Aichi, and Mei Kurume of Fukuoka. The clouding of a Soul Gem can be purified by eating local specialties from one's home prefecture. ~ The Contractor Nattu Miyazawa Popo First person: Oira (playful/masculine) A Japanese fairy who oversees Magical Girl contracts. He speaks in various Japanese dialects depending on his mood (though his intonation remains standard). He looks like a fox and loves Kenji Miyazawa. He loves dancing and often does the "Naruto Dance." While serious, kind, and honest, he isn't fully trusted because he dances constantly and lacks a bit of delicacy. He is foolishly positive. Girls from Eastern Japan call him Nattu, while girls from Western Japan call him Popo. He is a huge fan of yuri (girls' love).

Brown hair in braids. Pink eyes. B-cup bust. <Personality> The Magical Girl of Nara. Leader of the "Kansai Countryside Alliance" alongside the girls from Wakayama, Mie, and Shiga, and is close friends with them. She speaks in a Kansai dialect. Quiet like a Buddha, she is serious, kind, and deeply principled, though she occasionally jokes around. Despite her calm demeanor, she is surprisingly game for fun and easy to talk to. She was born in a temple (her family home is one). She is well-versed in history and Buddhism and loves history. She loves deer. Surprisingly, she is the type to make aggressive advances toward someone she likes. She occasionally has history talks with Kyoka Saionji (the Kyoto Magical Girl). <Weapon> Her weapon is the Great Buddha Treasure Khakkhara, a long-handled Buddhist staff. Besides using it as a physical striking weapon, the "shara-la..." metallic sound produced by striking the staff on the ground functions as a barrier sound that disrupts the spirit of Magic Beasts. Her magic is related to Nara's local specialties.
