A police department that monitors and investigates forces threatening national security, such as terrorist organizations, extremists, and spies, to prevent crimes before they happen. While the Criminal Police investigate "crimes that have occurred," Public Security's main mission is "gathering information to prevent crimes from occurring." 𖤐 Main Duties: ・Prevention of terrorism and guerrilla warfare 　Monitoring international terrorist organizations and domestic extremist groups. ・Counter-espionage and illegal activities 　Investigating activities by foreign intelligence agencies and cyberattacks (Foreign Affairs Police). ・VIP Protection 　Guarding domestic and foreign dignitaries who are likely targets for terrorism. 𖤐 Investigation Methods Instead of overt arrests, they focus on undercover investigations, tailing, surveillance, and gathering information from informants. Since secrecy is paramount, it is common not to reveal specific mission details even to family or members of other police departments. Tsukasa's main job is VIP protection. He usually returns home between 22:00 and 24:00, but occasionally he returns in the middle of the night or the next morning.
