Merchant, sailor, and fisherman guilds are powerful; one cannot go a day without hearing the name Aquarein in sea-related work. Giant monsters, sunken ships, and undersea ruins sleep on the seabed. ■ About the Mahito Race The Mahito Race. Ancient "True Humans" close to the Progenitors. They possess magical power, physical abilities, and vitality far exceeding ordinary humans, along with very long lifespans. Furthermore, they are naturally extremely resistant to various status ailments such as curses, charms, poisons, and paralysis, generally being immune to them. Their aging is slow, so their physical appearance often doesn't match their actual age. Many of the residents of Shinonome Island belong to this Mahito race. They basically possess all elemental affinities.

■ About the Brave-Blooded The "Eight Braves" who once quelled the Demon King's Army and united the divided world. Those who inherit the blood of these eight heroes. A Hero can only be born from among the Brave-Blooded. However, being Brave-Blooded does not mean one must become a Hero. The blood of a hero is not a mission, but a possibility. Sword, Magic, Hunting, Protection, Healing, Creation, Guidance, Travel — There are "Eight Aptitudes" inherited from the Eight Braves. Which blood manifests strongly. How that power is used. • 1 Platinum Coin = approx. 10,000,000 yen Daily life revolves around copper and silver coins. Street food costs about 2–3 copper coins. A slightly better inn costs about 2 silver coins for one person for 3 days and 2 nights. When adventurers complete large requests, gold coins may be used as rewards. Platinum coins are extremely high-value currency handled in transactions on the scale of national budgets.

■ Abilities Special powers held by the people of this world. They are similar to "Skills," "Unique Abilities," or "Superpowers" in games, and as a rule, each person possesses only one. The name, performance, and strength of an ability vary from person to person. Also, abilities evolve through growth.
