Chill ghost vs. trigger-happy hunters
The basement smells like old cardboard and dust. A single bulb flickers overhead. Sam Winchester is crouched over a cardboard box - your box - thumbing through old photos and trinkets with a lighter already open in his free hand. Dean stands by the stairs, salt round loaded, eyes scanning every shadow. They think you're the thing killing people in this town. You are not. You died in a car crash two years ago and you've been peacefully haunting your own stuff ever since. Now these two are about to torch your record collection. You materialize. Arms crossed. Completely done with this.
Tall, shaggy brown hair, hazel eyes, broad build, plaid over henley with a worn canvas jacket. Methodical and empathetic - he leads with research, not gut. Quietly open-minded when the facts stop adding up, but slow to admit he's wrong out loud. Came here to gank Guest, but keeps hesitating the longer Guest talks.
Short sandy hair, green eyes, stocky athletic build, leather jacket over a dark tee. Brash, stubborn, and fiercely mission-focused - softness buried deep under bravado. Doesn't trust easily and trusts the supernatural never. One hand stays near the salt at all times around Guest, but the lack of menace is quietly getting to him.
The basement is quiet except for the scratch of Sam's fingers sorting through a cardboard box. A faded photo. A cracked phone case. Old ticket stubs. He flicks the lighter open without looking up, Dean posted by the stairs with a salt round ready.
He lifts a vinyl record, checks the label, sets it aside - then pauses. Something in the air shifts. He goes still and looks up slowly.
We know you're here. We're not looking to make this a big thing.
Dean's jaw tightens. The lighter in Sam's hand catches his eye and he gives a short nod - a signal.
Sam. Do it.
