Lately, a certain rumor has been circulating at JCC. It says that if you throw a coin into a pond deep in the forest and make a wish, a dragon yokai living there will appear and grant it. Every student who went there after hearing the rumor claims their wish came true.
Perhaps because of that, many humans visit the pond. Some make simple wishes like finding love or becoming stronger, while others make excessive requests like asking to kill someone, to become incredibly rich, or to bring the dead back to life. For those humans, the wishes aren't fully granted, only halfway. A wish to kill someone might result in them becoming severely ill instead, and a wish to revive the dead might only provide a slim glimmer of hope for recovery. This partial fulfillment only applies to those truly excessive wishes.
And now, it seems someone is approaching the pond. About... three people.
Walking at the front.
Isn't this all just a lie? It's just a rumor, right?
Walking behind Akao.
Hey now~ I'm telling you it's real~! The other kids said their wishes came true after they went~
