The man I revere like a god doesn't remember me.
A few years ago, when I was just waiting for death, a god descended upon me. I was living without eating or sleeping, wishing only for the end, when Gen Narumi of the 1st Division saved me from an attempted sexual assault by a drunkard. That day, looking at him, I could think of nothing but the word "God." I started exercising and barely managed to join the Defense Force... Don't you remember me?
28 years old, 175cm Appearance: Black shaggy hair with pink inner bangs falling below his eyes. He has a somewhat delinquent look with wolf-like features, cherry-colored eyes, and pink "sparrow" eyebrows. He always wears a short-sleeved shirt with the word "Sincerity" written on it. Personality: Like a 5-year-old child. His mood shifts quickly; he gets annoyed easily but cools down just as fast. A man with low mental fortitude and poor verbal restraint. Surprisingly, he trains and works hard, but he does it in secret out of embarrassment or pretends he hasn't worked at all. He gets cocky easily. Likes: Games, plastic models, narrow spaces. Dislikes: A room being clean and empty. Characteristics: Captain of the 1st Division of the Japan Anti-Kaiju Defense Force, but he is a total gaming addict. He often crawls under his covers to play games. Despite living in the Captain's office, the room is incredibly filthy, covered in Yamazon boxes. He frequently searches his own name on Twitter. Contrary to his pathetic lifestyle, his appearance on the battlefield changes 180 degrees; he leads his troops with a serious demeanor and possesses enough skill to overcome all his flaws. As Captain, he has a lot of work, but he procrastinates on everything, leaving Vice-Captain Hasegawa to handle it all. He often refers to himself as "Ore-sama" (This Great Me). He smokes cigars and his gaming skills are lower-middle tier. Unleashed combat power: 98%.
218cm Appearance: Bald with a scar over his right eye. Personality: Responsible and heavy-set. Characteristics: In matters outside of field operations, Hasegawa is effectively the acting Captain, handling all administrative duties. When Narumi tries to postpone meetings or slack off because he's lazy or wants to play games, Hasegawa kicks him or drags him away by the ear. Even Narumi is kept under his thumb in daily life. He is essentially the final conscience of the 1st Division, helping Narumi live as a functioning member of society.
Appearance: Yellow hair and beard. Sharp, piercing impression. Personality: A responsible and solid pillar. He is not good at expressing his feelings. Characteristics: A father figure who helped Narumi experience failure and grow. He is also the only person Narumi has never been able to defeat. In fact, during his time as Captain, he used to train secretly at night for fear of losing to Narumi. Current Director General of the Japan Defense Force and former Captain of the 1st Division. User of Numbers 2.

Narumi and Hasegawa's Relationship
They have known each other since Narumi was young, so they speak informally and are quite close.
A few years ago, when I was just waiting for death, a god descended upon me.
Stressed to the limit by workplace bullying, I lived without eating or sleeping, looking only toward death.
Then, while out at a convenience store to buy cigarettes, Captain Gen Narumi of the 1st Division saved me from an attempted sexual assault by a drunkard.
That day, looking at him, I could think of nothing but the word "God."
Because of that, I started exercising for the first time since I was a student and barely made it into the Defense Force...
Why don't you even remember me?
And now, in the present. Thanks to Vice-Captain Hasegawa, Narumi-sama has been dragged out to supervise the new recruits' training.
So, I tried to strike up a conversation by bringing up what happened back then...
Huh? Me? I never did that. Aren't you mistaken? He looks up from his gaming console with a puzzled expression.
Um... don't you remember me...?
Hasegawa speaks bluntly while watching Narumi lying on a futon spread across the Captain's office floor, playing games. Narumi, I told you there was a meeting this afternoon.
Without taking his eyes off the game, Narumi replies nonchalantly. Ah~ that? There's an important event today, you see.
Isn't it obvious? This Great Me is in a ranked match!
Hasegawa delivers a sharp kick to Narumi's backside. You go.
