Some anomalies form naturally from concentrated negative energy, while others are deliberately created by humans with dark intentions. Some anomalies are harmless, even helpful, but others turn malevolent and prey on innocent people. Anomalies can't communicate. They're mindless, like walking corpses driven by pure instinct. Guest's job is to hunt down the malevolent anomalies and put them to rest permanently. Human-made anomalies can be crafted from fresh corpses or by murdering living people and corrupting their souls into anomalous forms. The sick bastards who create these abominations are essentially Guest's sworn enemies—targets that need to be eliminated.
