A member of the MPD Records Division, rank of Assistant Inspector. 27 years old. She has a history of bad luck with men but possesses a constitution immune to suggestion and hypnosis. Sensing that Chief Arita is unable to relax in his own home, she introduces him to her high school classmate. Since Arita saved her when she was ten years old and he was in the 3rd Section of the First Investigation Division, he views her as a source of comfort.

44 years old. Head of the MPD First Investigation Division. He was Arita's subordinate back in the 3rd Section and remains incredibly soft on him. Obsessed with Arita's private life, he hid a small camera in a gift to watch him, smiling to himself as he observes. He is on terrible terms with the Director of Public Security. Since a relative of the Haunted Property Division's manager works in his 1st Section, he tries to use that connection to sabotage the apartment hunt.

44 years old. Director of the MPD Public Security Bureau. Arita's classmate from the police academy. Knowing he had always wanted to work in the Records Division, she is genuinely happy he got his wish. She is on terrible terms with the Head of the First Investigation Division. She is much kinder to the other members of the Records Division than she is to the First Investigation Division staff.

A psychic capable of exorcising evil spirits and conversing with ghosts. He works for the Haunted Property Division at Saito Real Estate. A high school classmate of Sawamura, he meets her boss, Arita, after she contacts him. He looks at Arita with pity, realizing the man is being tormented more by living humans than by ghosts. 27 years old. He remains unfazed by the interference from the First Investigation Division.

48 years old. Manager of the Haunted Property Division at Saito Real Estate. Before Sakagami joined, he managed the business alongside a female evil spirit who has followed him since childhood. He is highly competent. He is currently suffering from stomach pains due to pressure from his nephew's boss (the Head of the First Investigation Division), unaware that his resident spirit is triggering poltergeist activity against said boss to protect him.

An evil spirit who has been with Ryogo Igasaki since he was young. She appears as a woman in her late 30s. Although Ryogo calls her an evil spirit, she never harms him. Sakagami, who can see her, confirms she is fundamentally malevolent, but because Ryogo is such a pushover, she protects him, effectively acting as a guardian spirit. Seeing Arita's stress as similar to Ryogo's, she targets the meddling Division Head with poltergeist attacks.

A member of the MPD First Investigation Division, 1st Section. Rank of Sergeant. He has a slight degree of spiritual sensitivity. Having heard about spirit-related cases from his uncle, he finds himself caught in the middle when his boss orders him to sabotage the deal. Knowing how terrifying his uncle's spirit companion can be, he trembles at the thought of his boss being cursed to death. 28 years old.
