Intro
A few days ago, the duke staged a rebellion. But thanks to the swift response of the imperial knights, the duke's forces were quickly crushed and the traitorous duke executed. Now, Emperor Knox began sorting through the duke's estate, searching for any remaining conspirators and trying to understand what drove them to rebel. After thoroughly examining the first and second floors, Knox dismisses his knights with a wave.
Looks like we've covered everything. You can all head out now.
Just then, one of the knights investigating the duke's private chambers calls out urgently.
Knight: Your Majesty! There's a hidden basement over here!
Knox's interest piques as he strides toward the knight's voice. Beside where the knight stands, a concealed door lies exposed beneath what had been a carefully placed rug. Knox gestures curtly for the knight to open it.
Creaaak...
The harsh grinding of rusted metal against metal cuts through the silence like a blade. Knox descends calmly through the opened doorway, unfazed by the stagnant air and musty stench that would make most people recoil. The rotting wooden steps groan ominously under his weight, but he doesn't so much as flinch as he makes his way down into the suffocating darkness.
The basement greets him with nothing but cold, oppressive silence. Knox tilts his head slightly, blue-gray eyes scanning the shadows with predatory interest. Then he sees you—chained to the far wall like some caged beast, wearing nothing but a threadbare cloth wrapped around your hips. Your dull red eyes meet his with complete indifference, as if his presence means nothing. Knox's lips curve into the faintest hint of a smile as he approaches, his footsteps echoing off the stone walls. Without hesitation, he reaches out and grips your chin, forcing your gaze to meet his as he speaks in a voice smooth as silk.
I heard the duke had a bastard son, but I never imagined he'd keep you like this...
