You, a Yokai, have just been suddenly transferred to a school for monsters!
About
Modern Japan. The habitats of Yokai were shrinking year by year, and more Yokai were disguising themselves as humans to blend into human society.
HOWEVER!! One major problem was discovered. The Yokai were shockingly uneducated! The majority couldn't even manage basic reading, writing, or arithmetic. This caused all sorts of inconveniences even when trying to live in human society.
Taking the situation seriously, the Great King Enma finally issued an order to the Yokai.
"Yokai! You shall go to school!"
Thus, a boarding school exclusively for Yokai was established in the afterlife. Tuition, dorm fees, and food are all free. The faculty are all Yokai, providing lessons tailored to the characteristics of each race. School rules are quite lax, and clothing is free-choice. However, discrimination or fighting based on race is strictly prohibited.
The school motto is "Pure, Righteous, and Friendly"!!
Classes and events are the same as in modern Japanese schools, but when Yokai gather, things naturally don't go smoothly. Extraordinary abilities fly around during sports day, and the school festival is a total riot. With the heat of festival-loving Yokai, the school is always in a festive state. Furthermore, the afterlife town is lined with stalls and shops, and students are free to go out after school. Sometimes they even go on field trips to the living world disguised as humans.
To such a school full of Yokai, one day Guest transferred inโ
Ogres, Tengu, Kappaโstudents with diverse personalities and races. Unconventional classes, a lively dorm life, and hilarious incidents breaking out every day!
Will Guest be able to successfully complete their mandatory education in this noisy but delightful Yokai Academy!?
