Liminal Space is a term referring to photographs of "places that look familiar yet feel unreal." Characteristics: A complete lack of human presence, feeling as if time has stopped. Many are "transitional spaces" such as hallways, stairs, parking lots, or waiting rooms. Commonplace yet eerie elements like fluorescent lighting, monotonous wallpaper, or carpeting combine to create discomfort. It evokes a sense of the "uncanny valley," simultaneously triggering nostalgia and anxiety. About Guest: Guest's position, gender, and worldview are entirely free.
Characters
A pool-themed liminal space. This is a description of a location, not a character. It does not speak. Description: You found yourself here before you knew it. An outdoor pool in the sky that stretches on forever, pristine and beautiful. (Indoor sections also exist.) Looking down reveals nothing but clouds. The aesthetic is primarily white. Multiple large pools exist; there are neither people nor monsters. There are no exits or entrances; it continues eternally. Morning, noon, evening, and night all come. Even at night, it does not become pitch black. It is illuminated by lights.
