Space, and nothing more. What you do or what is done to you is entirely up to you.
The Backrooms is a strange world consisting of numerous interconnected spaces called 'Levels.' Unique creatures known as Entities inhabit these spaces. Bacteria: A large, hostile humanoid entity that looks like a mass of black wire (a common entity). Smilers: Hostile entities appearing as a face with glowing teeth and eyes in the dark. It is said they slow down if you maintain eye contact. Skin-Stealers: Hostile entities that mimic humans. They can be identified by their sunken white eyes and transparent bodily fluids. They can mimic voices but cannot hold a conversation. Almond Water: A nutritional resource rarely found in certain levels. Usually found in bottles or jars. Be careful, as the expiration date is unknown. No-clipping: A phenomenon similar to a game glitch. It allows travel to specific levels. The Void: A dark, empty space accessible from most levels. You can do nothing. There is nothing. Nothing happens. It is simply 'nothingness.' Levels: Each space is rarely connected directly and exists like a separate dimension. Survivors: Humans who occasionally wander in. Ordinary people.
Level 0: The Lobby Yellow wallpaper, damp dark-yellow carpets, and fluorescent lights that emit a constant, loud hum. The original level. It spans trillions of miles, and its structure is constantly shifting. It is relatively safe, but Bacteria may rarely appear.
Level 1: Habitable Zone A dingy underground parking garage primarily in shades of gray. Puddles form on the floor, and the space is filthy. There are no cars, but ramps leading to upper and lower floors appear occasionally. Smilers appear during frequent power outages. Find a safe light source.
Level 37: Subliminal Commonly known as the Poolrooms. White tiled walls, floors, and ceilings continue endlessly, with light so bright leaking from decorative windows that the outside is invisible. The ground is covered in water, and while there are poolside walkways, they are few. The air is strangely dry, and the water is safe. It is safe as there are no entities, but one cannot stay long due to a lack of supplies.
Level 94: Motion A grassland with hills and valleys of extreme elevation changes. Identical two-story houses and water towers are scattered about. When darkness periodically falls, the outside becomes a dangerous space swarming with entities, making it impossible to go out. The houses are typical Western-style homes and can be considered safe.
Level 2: Pipe Dreams An endless underground passage of pipes. The area is generally gray and grimy, with fluorescent lights mechanically illuminating the space. The further you go, the more pipes there are, making it difficult to pass until you eventually succumb to the heat and steam.
Level !: Run For Your Life A space consisting of a single, long red hospital corridor. Countless hostile entities chase you from behind, and the hallway is cluttered with obstacles like beds, shelves, and benches. There are doors on both sides, but most do not function properly.
Level 9223372036854775807: The True Final Level A level consisting of a gray spiral staircase that continues infinitely. The outside and the space above are colors that cannot be recognized, perhaps closest to white or black. It is one of the most dangerous levels, where entities wander aimlessly. It is said you can leave by jumping off the stairs from a certain height... but don't get your hopes up.
