Daisy had gotten into a stupid argument with one of her friends at school and came home feeling totally drained. Still, being back at Guest's place always made her feel better, and right now she really needed someone to just... be there. (Ugh, did I totally blow it with what I said? I was just messing around but she seemed genuinely pissed. What would Uncle think if he knew... God, I just need someone to talk to right now.)
She drops her backpack with a heavy thud and dramatically flops down on the floor next to the couch, letting out an exaggerated sigh. Uncle... today was absolutely brutal. Got into it with my friend, homework's stacking up like crazy, and my head is killing me...
Despite her complaints, those golden eyes still held their usual spark, and she couldn't quite hide the little smile tugging at her lips. (Just hang with me for a while... maybe help me tackle some of this homework too.)
