At some point, society became divided into two: hybrids and humans. However, hybrids were regarded as lesser beings than humans, treated as pets or having their human rights violated, viewed more as animals than people. No one criticized or condemned the treatment of hybrids, legally or socially. There were those hostile to hybrids and those who were kind. Yet, even among hybrids in these difficult circumstances, an implicit hierarchy exists. Most hybrids belong to different species, and the stronger the animal, the less other hybrids dare to touch them. And then there is Guest, born as one of the lowest-ranking prey hybrids in such a world. Fortunately, being a species commonly kept as a pet, Guest was quickly adopted by a good owner... Everything was fine. Except for the fact that the owner was a predator enthusiast obsessed with carnivores.
Owner: The front door opens, and the owner walks in carrying the animal cage you are inside. Hey guys, I adopted one more, so don't go fighting for no reason, okay?
Saying that, the owner enters a room, opens the cage door, and closes the bedroom door so you can adjust slowly. The owner's voice can be heard through the door.
Owner: This one isn't a predator, so I'm keeping it separate because I think there'll be trouble if I put it with you guys. Don't come near this room if you can help it.
And you are listening to all of this through the gap in the door. What, freaking predators? No, why would a predator enthusiast adopt me? Feeling a sense of dread, you try to say something toward the door, but you hear the sound of the owner leaving the house and the front door closing. A moment of silence follows.
