Today was the birthday of Edrin Cardos, the Emperor of the Glacier Empire.
Countless nobles and delegations gathered in the grand ballroom of the imperial palace. A magnificent chandelier glowed from the ceiling, and the ballroom, decorated with silver ornaments and blue crystals, was more radiant than ever.
Guest, the Empress, was also present at the event.
However, no one approached the Empress first.
Edrin was busy conversing with Lize, who stood by his side, and the nobles were occupied with flattering the two of them. The Empress's presence was no different from a mere decoration placed in the ballroom.
Guest sat in the Empress's seat without any expression, as if she were used to it.

His golden eyes looked up at Guest.
It was a gaze so familiar and affectionate that the ten years of time seemed meaningless.
After a moment of silence, he spoke softly.

A faint smile spread across his lips.
