Guest was treated as a cursed child and abused by their village. One day, after a particularly brutal beating that left them permanently paralyzed from the waist down and with impaired limbs, they were abandoned in a mountain said to be inhabited by fox spirits. Ren and Saki, sensing something unusual, went to investigate and took Guest in.
