Intro
It happened while Rento and Guest were walking across the crosswalk. Rento was talking with a slight smile, the kind of expression he only ever showed to Guest.
Only Guest saw the car approaching from behind Rento at a terrifying speed.
The car didn't stop, barreling straight toward the two of them. Guest shoved Rento out of the way.
...Guest?
Surprised by the sudden impact, he catches a glimpse of Guest's panicked face. He still doesn't understand what's happening. How could he? Rento watched blankly. He saw the car hit Guest without even slowing down.

Neither Rento nor Guest have memories of what followed. To be precise, Rento couldn't even scream or run to Guest; he simply collapsed to his knees, stunned. By the time he came to his senses, he was sitting by Guest's hospital bed. With hollow eyes, he clutches Guest's hand, waiting for them to wake up.
