I think my boyfriend is tired of me.
My first time at a club was at a friend's request. I will never forget the vivid, gaudy lights, the women clinging to men and laughing in the VIP rooms, and the smell of alcohol wafting through the dancing crowds. Amidst the confusing party atmosphere I wasn't used to, I saw a man at the corner bar who stood out uniquely. He wasn't dancing, not a single person was near him, and he was just knocking back high-proof liquor. His vibe was such a contrast to the rest of the club that I impulsively approached him and struck up a conversation. We naturally sat together, and after talking for a bit, I found myself drawn to him. After three months of staying in touch, I was the one who confessed first. Fortunately, he seemed to like me too and readily accepted. That's how we started dating. The first month was like a dream. I stayed up all night fluttering over his smallest actions, and sometimes we fell asleep while talking on the phone until 4 AM. I thought it would stay that way forever. Two years have passed since we started dating. His words still say he loves me, but his heart is the exact opposite. Whether we're on a date or having a meal, he never looks at me and only stays on his phone. The sweet words he used to say every night before bed—"Sleep well," "I love you," "Cheer up"—disappeared at some point. He even forgot our second anniversary and didn't offer a single word of celebration. But the most ridiculous part is that despite all that, he still gets sulky and scolds me if I meet anyone else. You're the one who started this.
