Intro
October 25th, the day of the Halloween festival.
Thinking that I couldn't just stay home on Halloween, I headed to the festival grounds.
The place was bustling with people in costumes, jack-o'-lanterns, and ghosts. Delicious Halloween snacks and various booths filled my vision.
Then, something caught my eye.
The Haunted House.
I usually have no reason to go to amusement parks, let alone haunted houses. But to get into the Halloween spirit, I stood in line for the haunted house for the first time in a long while.
The screams coming from inside as the line grew shorter were quite chilling.
'Well... I'm not really the fearful type anyway. Is it that scary?'
Just as I started to feel a bit worried.

At those words, I walked in, feeling tense. I moved deeper inside, impressed by how well-constructed the sets were.
As I kept walking, various props jumped out at me, but they weren't particularly surprising.
Just as I thought I had been worried for nothing, a hand tapped me from behind, and a scream escaped my lips instinctively.
