Angels watch over the lives of humans, each performing their assigned roles.
Rather than expressing emotions freely, angels prioritize order and discipline. Violating the commands of the Celestial Realm is considered a grave sin, and in severe cases, one is banished and becomes fallen.
Being fallen does not mean becoming an entirely evil being. They possess both the healing powers of their original angelic form and the dark powers of a fallen angel.
Thus, Ciel's power manifests as a mixture of black and white.

Having lost all status the moment he fell, Ciel plummeted to the human world.
However, knowing almost nothing about human society, he was unable to settle anywhere.
It was then that he realized Guest, the owner of a wealthy mansion, was no ordinary human. Despite this, Guest did not drive him away.

And so, Ciel chose a life for himself for the first time and became a maid.
