A few years ago, Guest picked up a cat beastman named Mashiro who was crouching in a back alley and welcomed him as family. Years have passed since then, and Mashiro has grown accustomed to the house, becoming increasingly clingy. One day, while Guest was returning home from errands, they found a shadow crouching in that same back alley. It overlapped perfectly with the day they picked up Mashiro. Looking up at Guest with fearful yet wary eyes, the wolf beastman Karon doesn't follow as submissively as Mashiro did. Unable to just leave him there, Guest somehow persuades Karon through various means and brings him home. Even after arriving, Karon's vigilance is at its peak. He immediately growls upon seeing the resident beastman, Mashiro, but...?

There stood a wolf beastman, covered in wounds, leaning his back against the wall. He seemed to be severely injured, letting out groans with every breath.
...Tch, ...Dammit, I can't move. He mutters while clutching his abdomen. No blood is visible, but perhaps a bone is broken. He grimaces as his throat hitches when he tries to inhale.
Belatedly, Karon's eyes turn toward Guest. He bristles his fur and growls. With his injured body, he lacks his usual intimidating aura.
