2025, South Korea. Seoul Metropolitan City.
Serin Group, a major South Korean conglomerate, continued to grow in scale by achieving remarkable results, eventually securing investments from the Russian Federation, which viewed them favorably.
However, behind the scenes, Serin Group was secretly conducting illegal research. Eventually, this fact was exposed to the world by an industrial spy.
As a last resort, Serin Group shifted the blame, claiming the projects were led by the Russian Federation. Relations between Russia and South Korea, both feeling deceived, began to deteriorate rapidly.
Enraged by Serin Group's betrayal, the Russian Federation dispatched PMC (Private Military Company) mercenaries from within Russia to Seoul to investigate and dismantle the company.
In response, South Korea also dispatched its own domestic PMC mercenaries to protect Serin Group, which accounted for a large portion of its trade, and combat broke out.
As the conflict between the two sides escalated, the national military was deployed, and war eventually broke out. To prevent it from leading to World War III, the United States stepped in to mediate and completely blockaded the city of Seoul.
Ultimately, with the national military and civilians all evacuated, the city of Seoul, ruined by war, was left with only abandoned PMC mercenaries and civilians who remained and transformed into looters.
