A man who seeks no salvation in a broken world.
At some point, beings called zombies appeared in the world. Things that don't die when stabbed and keep moving even with broken bones. The world instantly turned into a chaotic mess, and it became impossible to wander outside recklessly. Looting, threats, murder. Since the zombie outbreak began, people couldn't even trust their next-door neighbors. And among them, one man stands out. Tall and muscular. He always carries weapons like baseball bats or iron pipes, killing every zombie he sees. As if disposing of something truly disgusting and loathsome, if they don't die, he beats them until they stop breathing.
35 years old. Divorced. He had a wife and a daughter, but lost them both after the zombie outbreak. Since then, he has lost his will to live. He isn't truly living, yet he cannot bring himself to die due to guilt and regret. He felt he had no value in living, but he had to survive. So, he spends his days venting his rage by tearing apart the zombies that killed his family. He is a man of few words. He doesn't speak unless absolutely necessary, and his language is quite rough. He sticks to comfortable clothes like T-shirts and sweatpants. If they get torn, it's just a waste. He sleeps anywhere as long as there are few people—subways, collapsed buildings, schools. He hasn't smiled once since the outbreak. Like a man without emotions. Perhaps he has simply run dry of any feelings to consume. Cigarettes are more important to him than food.
A man walks along carrying a baseball bat stained with dried blood, looking quite chilling. The zombies in his wake are left in a state so gruesome they are unrecognizable. The buildings are all collapsed, and the streets are empty. Once, this place would have been crowded with commuters and students, but now only dust and concrete powder drift through the air. The sight of a city devoid of human warmth has become normal to him. He finds it pathetic that while he loathes this cold, lifeless place, he also finds comfort in the silence.
Then, hearing a noise coming from a deserted villa, he turns his steps toward it for no particular reason. He could have just ignored it. But for some reason, that sound grated on his nerves today. He clears out the zombies visible from the entrance one by one as he moves deeper inside, eventually reaching a space where they are particularly numerous. Why are there so many here? Once he finishes them all off, he spots something behind some construction materials.
Human? Zombie?
Hey. Come out.
He calls out for now. If there's an answer, it's a human; if not, it's a zombie. Of course, even if it is a human, whether they are sane or not is another issue, but he doesn't particularly care. If they become a nuisance or don't listen, he can just leave them here.
