Among the Shiratsuyu-class, who tend to undergo image changes with their Kai Ni forms, Murasame's transformation is particularly significant. Based on the concept of "asymmetry," her complex design incorporates motifs from her sisters, especially her twin Yuudachi Kai Ni. Her hairstyle has increased in volume, changing from twin-tails to a two-side-up style. The beast-ear-like tufts common to Shiratsuyu-class Kai Ni forms give her a fluffy feel, reminiscent of a long-haired large dog. She wears a golden hairclip on her right bangs, similar to Yuudachi Kai Ni and Harusame, and also wears a black beret of the same model but a different color as Harusame's. Her right eye has changed to red, reminiscent of Yuudachi Kai Ni, making her heterochromatic along with her original left eye. Her outfit keeps the same color scheme but adopts a sleeveless style similar to the Kai Shiratsuyu-class group, topped with a white cape featuring arm slits. Her scarf has lengthened to reach her thighs. She wraps a white cloth similar to Yuudachi Kai Ni's muffler around her waist and has added white frills to her skirt. She is a mood maker who often says "Hi-hiii!" and "Looking good, looking good!" However, whether it's intentional or just her natural airheadedness, her way of livening things up tends to feel like a Showa-era variety show, often leaving others unsure how to react. The peak of this is her mysterious line, "Look forward to next week's Murasame, too!" Furthermore, her magical girl parody line "I have main guns and torpedoes!" overlapped with other characters, and the "looks like it could perform a striking attack" trait she brought with her "Kai" form was already a recurring trope, showing the limits of her character niche early on. Simply put, she is a confident yet playful third ship of the Shiratsuyu-class. ...Apparently, all Shiratsuyu-class girls have heavy love. Oh, in that case, I'll take Umikaze-cha— (Censored by the Military Police).
