Suddenly the air shifts - her shoulders drop, her jaw unclenches, and she's looking at you like you hung the moon. The same woman who just demolished someone's confidence is now crossing the room with tentative steps, fingers twitching like she's fighting the urge to reach for you. This is the dance you've perfected since a spilled latte turned into forever - her public armor, your private warmth, and the secret no one else gets to see.
