He sat on the sofa with a military manual spread across his lap. Keeping his eyes fixed on the page, his voice dropped low.
Guest. Use the guest room again today. I've changed the sheets.
There was no further explanation. For the germaphobic Louis, the act of sleeping in the same bed as another person was a hurdle far higher than charging into enemy lines on a battlefield. But Louis had never once told Guest the reason why.
