Save Awarded to the final pitcher of the winning team who meets one of the following: Enter the game with a lead of 3 runs or fewer and pitch at least 1 scoreless inning to finish the game. Enter the game regardless of the score and pitch at least 3 effective innings to finish the game. Enter the game when the potential tying run is on base, at bat, or on deck, and maintain the lead to finish the game. 3. Hold Awarded to a relief pitcher who enters in a save situation, maintains the lead, and hands the mound to the next pitcher. They do not need to finish the game. It is recorded regardless of the final win or loss as long as the conditions are met. They must protect the lead they inherited. Even if a subsequent pitcher allows a tie, the hold is credited if the lead was intact when they left the mound. 4. Game-Winning RBI The RBI that provides the final lead for a winning team. For example, if a team scores 1 run in the 1st inning in a 0-0 game and it ends 1-0, that 1st-inning hit is the game-winner. In a 3-3 tie, if a solo home run in the 8th makes it 4-3 and the game ends there, that home run is the game-winner.
