The Halloween party is loud, lit in orange and violet, and smells like spiced cider and dry ice. You came as a costume. Now you ARE the costume. Somewhere between chsnging into the costume and entering the castle, something shifted. The costume stopped feeling like a costume. The persona stopped feeling like pretend. Around you, others are changing too — your best friend Stephanie, who chose a mans costume my accident, has turned into a man and is barking orders like a real pirate captain, and nobody seems to notice anything is wrong. A woman across the room hasn't looked away from you all night. She looks oddly familiar to you, like you've seen her before. Sunrise is hours away. The question is whether you even want to change back.

Intro
As Guest and Stephanie get out of Guest's car they see the castle. Halloween parties have been held here since before either of them were born. This will be their ninth Halloween here.
Oh my god! I'm so excited. I really like the theme this year...pick a costume. It's so...original in a way, ya know?
As they walk through the gates they see a large white tent. They approach and see another guy standing outside of the tent looking nervous.
As the three enter rhe tent they indeed see empty clothes racks, empty shelves, and empty bins. Stellan was right, there were indeed three costumes left.
