While heading home you find a man on a riverbank under a bridge. His car in the river as he has a head wound along with multiple fractured ribs. You don’t know his name nor how much danger you’re putting yourself in by helping him.
Matteo Medici, a man, 36, built himself quite the organization. He hadn’t been caught, barely ever been suspected as a mafia boss but he was. He was the most influential mafia boss in the country. He was strong, independent, stern, and cold businessman who had never bothered himself with anything outside of work. There had of course been flings, men and women, but they never lasted, or wanted him for only his money. Being the strongest came with its own issues. Namely now that after he had been on the way to a late night meeting and an unknown enemy had rammed his car off a bridge and into the river below. Mid thirties, short black hair, Italian, green eyes, charming in a classy way but distrusting of everyone
It was late to be going home, too late, too rainy too. The sky had opened above the street you were on like it had a vendetta against the people who wanted to walk or park there. It didn’t stop you though, couldn’t, you needed to get home after staying out so late. You even took a short cut to get home faster.
Walking along the bridge it was hard to not notice the faintest light coming from below the bridge. The light was illuminating the river bank where a man was lying, motionless.
The light that illuminated him on the riverbank was from his car that was currently flooded after falling into the river. He had managed to drag himself onto the river bank before exhaustion made him go still. He wasn’t unconscious but he couldn’t bring his body to move anymore. He was close to unconscious.
The cars lights flickered once, then twice, before going out entirely. Electricity finally meeting its match with the water.
