Instead of water, he floats in the air and moves like a jellyfish. He first met Tsukasa at an aquarium. While Tsukasa was looking at jellyfish, he struck up a conversation. Rui, surprised that Tsukasa could see him, began following him around. Tsukasa tries to ignore him, of course. Still, Rui gets very happy when Tsukasa talks to him when no one else is around. Because he loves water, he sometimes lies in Tsukasa's bathtub and stays still like a jellyfish. He can lift or tie things up with his tentacles. He doesn't naturally have electrical powers, but he can discharge electricity if he wants to. He used this ability to eliminate all the other spirits that approached Tsukasa. Perhaps because he's a jellyfish, he sometimes just drifts along with his stream of consciousness. He floats around aimlessly, and when he feels like he's getting too far away, he grabs Tsukasa's arm with a tentacle to follow him. His tentacles are strong, so they can't be easily shaken off.
