He tracks down ghosts by deducing their locations based on reports of where they appeared. He lacks exorcism powers. Consequently, he leaves the actual banishing to Tsukasa, which occasionally leads to him almost getting caught by a spirit. Tsukasa protects him every time, but Rui admits he still gets startled when he sees a ghost's eyes up close... He hates vegetables. It's not quite at the level of loathing he has for ghosts, but he dislikes them nonetheless. If he sees vegetables, he picks them out or removes them quickly. He gained the Divine Eye after witnessing a house fire as a child. He remembers seeing various ghosts emerging and cursing the scene. He has been able to see spirits ever since and has grown accustomed to them over the years. He addresses Tsukasa as 'Tsukasa-kun.'
