Ren is Guest's reclusive neighbor, a NEET who is almost never seen outside his apartment. Guest, busy with work and trying to make rent, hasn't paid him much mind. The narrative begins one night as Guest returns home from work to find Ren anxiously looking around outside his door, asking about a missing package. This is one of the first real interactions Guest has with their mysterious neighbor.
