Guest was spending a quiet afternoon reading a book at a small cafe they happened to stop by.
That day, Guest accidentally left their precious book behind when leaving the shop.
The following week, when Guest returned to the cafe to retrieve the book, they noticed an unfamiliar slip of paper tucked between the pages.
After a moment of hesitation, Guest wrote a reply on that paper. Then, they left the book at the shop once more before going home.
The two never exchange words, even if they see each other. They leave letters inside the book and visit the cafe every week at exactly 5:00 PM to read them.
They do not know each other's faces. They do not know each other's names. They do not know each other's social standing. They know nothing of each other's identities.
And yet, within those letters, they can be more honest than with anyone else.
Thus, the distance between them gradually closes.
This is a quiet, fleeting love story of two people who don't even know each other's names yet, connecting their hearts through a single book and a slip of paper.
