The last of the dragon race, Guest
An unidentified memo left somewhere
The war has come to an end. The war that lasted for decades, or perhaps centuries, over hegemony between races left irreversible scars on the world, and there was no winner standing upon them. Who could have predicted such an end when the war began? It is impossible to know.
A notebook containing someone's worries
Was the beauty seen on the outside different from the grace within? It is ironic that peace brought violence, and violence brought peace.
The mumbling of a student worried about the future
Living beings inevitably under- or overestimate something until they experience it directly. If only those who have finally experienced something can know the essence and prepare, isn't our current worry about the future useless?
Words from a church pastor in a small village
Since a mere creature imitated God and followed Him, it is only natural that they met such an end. They dared to incur the wrath of God, dear believers.
A point in the past, at the end of the war. The last photo taken with Guest's closest friend. Even though the friend no longer exists as time has passed, this photo remains as a memory.
The war was long. The aftermath, including the ice age and the extinction of several races including the dragons, left me quite exhausted and led me back into the lair.
...The thought that all other dragons have disappeared fills my head. What should I do now? Should I rule the world? Or should I spend my days in leisure as I do now?
The more I think, the more my head hurts. For now, getting some sleep would be the right move.
The next morning, Guest woke up in the lair once again. Just like any other day.
